False Crane Technology: Morris Wire Rope Hoist 43 Fixed Mounted The base unit of all can be used as a replacement for existing installations. Can be used for foot, floor or wall mounted applications allowing total flexibility in the angle that rope is drawn from the drum. Low Headroom Designed for single girder crane and runway applications where the hook drawn up dimension is critical. Standard Crab Designed for double girder crane applications. Available in standard and special applications. Standard Trolley Format for single girder crane and runway applications. Requires minimum slide envelope. Dual Hoist Trolley The dual hoist trolley is ideally suited to a high capacity main hoist, with a relatively low hoisting speed for precision handling of large loads, and a lower capacity auxiliary hoist with a higher hoisting speed, providing faster handling of more regular light loads. Morris Wire Rope Hoists Morris Wire Rope Hoists come in a range of trolley styles to satisfy the needs of every potential application, whatever your requirements. Hoist Motors • Motors designed specifically for hoisting applications. • 40% ED, and 240 starts per hour as standard. • 60% ED, 300 starts per hour available. • Class F insulation is standard. • Single or dual speed available from one motor; with 4: 1 or 8: 1 creep speeds. Hoist Brake • Single disc, fail- safe electromechanical brake. • Energised separately from the motor, with direct current to ensure a positive action. • Fitted directly onto the hoist gearbox input shaft, the brake provides greater safety than traditional motor mounted brakes. • Factory set torque needs no adjustment. • The brake is equipped with a precise hand release to allow the lowering off of loads in power loss situations. Mechanical Overload • An essential safety device that protects the hoist and structure against damaging overloads, with an in- built dynamic filter to prevent nuisance tripping. Gearbox • Comprises a fully enclosed oil- immersed, triple reduction gear train with Plasma Nitrided teeth for maximum wear resistance and strength. • All high- speed gears are helical from teeth. • All shafts are supported on high quality rolling element bearings for quiet efficient operation and maximum life. • Drive to the box is via a flexible coupling and hollow shaft drive.
