Level three hairdressing students were able to show how their skills and confi dence had developed when they took part in an in house avant- garde themed competition. The winner on the day was Charlotte Race who later went on to enter an external hairdressing competition in Blackpool where she came a respectable 8th out of 56 entrants. y on the catwalk Earlier in the year, several of our students combined their talents to produce a jaw dropping catwalk extravaganza at the ' Look Good, Feel Good Fashion Show' which was held at the Holiday Inn hotel in Rotherham. The event enabled our hairdressing, media make- up, fashion and performing arts students to work together to create outstanding, stylish looking models through the creation of cutting edge fashion garments, funky hair styles and eye- catching make- up techniques! The fashion show was a fun and rewarding way for the team to show off their fantastic skills and to also improve their confi dence. Media make- up students were able to be creative during their involvement in the Miss South Yorkshire 2009 competition. The team worked alongside award winning hair stylists ' Wigs and Warpaint' to create the perfect look for each contestant as they took to the stage.
