National Certifi cate in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering Level 3 FE311ET TCC A course suitable for people wishing to apply their learning in a practical, theoretical and realistic electrical engineering environment and would like to progress to a career in electrical and electronics engineering or Higher Education. Your course will cover You will develop knowledge and practical skills in aspects of electrical and electronic engineering including the design, installation and testing of electrical and electronic circuits and equipment for domestic and commercial activities. You will study electrical and electronic principles and the course combines theoretical and practical work so that you have the underpinning knowledge to support your practical skills. You will gain an awareness of the electrical engineering industry and further develop your knowledge of the regulations relating to electrical installations and practices. Performing Engineering Operations ( Electrical) Level 2 FE212ET TCC This course provides a grounding in electrical engineering and offers a pathway in an electrical specialism. It introduces you to electrical engineering principles and practices and will develop the essential knowledge and skills to enable you to progress on to further study at a craft or technical level or into employment. Your course will cover The course involves learning about electrical principles and includes installing wiring and testing of electrical systems and circuits. You will gain knowledge of the electrical engineering industry and electrical engineering processes and practices as well as a sound understanding of current regulations and legislation to support your competence in electrical safety. You will be involved in the preparation and installation of electrical equipment and operate in our workshops to industry standards. The course introduces you to the use of hand tools and power tools and their safe use. You will learn how to work safely and work with others. The course also teaches you how to use and create drawings used within the engineering industry. You will also have the opportunity to gain qualifi cations in Functional Skills in communication, numeracy and IT as these are important for employment and further training.
