Your course will cover You will study a range of health and social care related subjects to provide the essential knowledge as a foundation for progression. During your course, you will develop a range of skills that will help towards employment and further study. The course will help develop your abilities in health and social care through the effective use of newly acquired knowledge and skills. Your study will include topics such as people, organisations, caring for children, local services and health and the environment. You will also have the opportunity to gain qualifi cations in Functional Skills such as communication, numeracy and IT. Entry requirements There are no formal requirements but you must be able to demonstrate that you have an interest in health and social care and be able to provide two written references. Entry is via an interview with a course tutor. Length of course One year Qualifi cation BTEC Introductory Diploma in Health and Social Care Assessment The course is based soley in college with project and assignment based assessments. You will work on projects individually and as part of a team or group. These assignments are then assessed.
